“The New Society” is a series we are starting at Society Church on February 10th, 2013 which marks OUR LAUNCH of weekly services. We will be waking through Jesus teachings from the Sermon on the Mount from Matthew chapter 5,6 & 7. This will be a rich time together as we consider how these teachings apply to our life and faith today. At the end of Jesus sermon he says this about his teachings in Matthew 7:24- 27:
“24 Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
The hope is that we can discover together a firm foundation for living through following Jesus as individuals and in community. This series will cover a variety of topics including how to develop healthy and life giving relationships with God, others, ourselves and our stuff. Come and join us starting on February 10th, 2013.
