About God

We believe in one God. The same God who created the entire universe and everything that’s in it. We believe God is loving, fair, perfect, all-powerful, all-knowing, and is eternally present in three distinct persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Genesis 1, Psalm 90:2; Isaiah 43:10-13, Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14, 1 Peter 1:2

About Jesus

We believe Jesus is the Son of God. He lived a sinless life and voluntarily died on the cross in our place as full payment for the sins of all people. But, unlike anyone else throughout history, Jesus defeated the power of sin and death by rising from the dead. After he appeared to over 500 people, Jesus ascended into Heaven to provide access and reconciliation between God and people. When God has fulfilled his purpose with this earth, He will send Jesus to return and reign Lord of all. Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 1:22-23; John 1:1-5, 14:10-30; Acts 1:9-11; Romans 1:3-4; 1 Corinthians 15: 3-9; I Timothy 6:14-15

About The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the comforter, counselor and helper sent for all believers. He also makes people aware of their need for God and draws people into that relationship. We also believe the Holy Spirit, which lives within us at the moment of salvation, provides guidance and power for doing what is right and understanding for spiritual truth. John 14:16-17; 1 Corinthians 2:12; 3:16; 2 Corinthians 3:17; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 1:13-14

About The Bible

We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error, and is the source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. The Bible’s truth is timeless and speaks to our everyday lives. Psalm 119:105,160; Proverbs 30:5; 2 Timothy 1:13; 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21

About Humanity

We believe that human beings were created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him, but became alienated from that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, humanity is totally incapable of coming back into a right relationship with God by one’s own effort. Genesis 1:26, Genesis 3

About Salvation

We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross solely provides for the forgiveness of sins. Therefore, salvation is received only when a person places his or her faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as the sufficient payment for one’s acknowledged sin. This salvation is not earned but a gift available by the grace of God alone. Mark 10:45, Acts 2:38, Ephesians 2:8-9

About the Christian Life

We believe that every Christian should live for Christ. By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Holy Spirit, every believer should be maturing and growing in their conformity to the image of Jesus. Deuteronomy 6:5; Proverbs 3:5-6; Mark 12:29-31; Acts 17:2, Romans 12:2; 1 Corinthians 8 & 9, 10:23-11:1

About the Church

We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of a local church is to organize Christians to reach unbelievers with the message of salvation, serve as a corporate body for worship of God, provide fellowship for Christians with each other, develop the gifts and talents of Christians for godly service and the mission of God, and practice baptism and communion. Matthew 16:18, 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-16; Acts 2:32-41; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26, 12:12-13; Ephesians 5:22-24; Colossians 1:18; Hebrews 10:24-25, 13:17

About Healing

We believe that Christ’s power to heal, evident in the Gospels & Epistles, is available to all believers today through his atoning sacrifice. The church is to lay hands on the sick, anoint them with oil, and pray faithfully for their recovery. Isaiah 53:4-5, James 5:14-15
