Life Together
Gathering regularly in community for times of worship, prayer and study of the scriptures is key to growing in our “life together”. This is where we believe spiritual growth and formation happens best, in the context of a meaningful and authentic Christ centered community. This is what we call “Life Together”.
Here are some scriptures that talk about the importance and practice of Life Together:
- Hebrews 10:25 “…not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
- Acts 5:42 “They met day after day, in the Temple courts and from house to house.
- Acts 20:20 “You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house.”
- Acts 2:42-47 “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
We have many different ways to connect in community, share life and gather in worship together. Some specific practices are listed below for you to consider.
