This is a new series for a New Year!
This new series called “First Love” is all about restarting, recommitting, refocusing and rediscovering the One who first loved us.
One of the unique things about Christianity is that its founder did all the work for us! It is not our job to earn or work for Gods love and grace but simply to receive and allow our hearts and souls to absorb and respond to this great love and grace we find in Christ.
This series will be all about reflecting on and rediscovering Gods great love for us and learning to allow our souls to respond with a great love for Him and others.
1 John 4:19 says it really simply: “We love because he first loved us.” As we connect with Gods great love proven to us through the gift of his firstborn son (Jesus) our soul come alive with a love for God and others.
In Revelation 2:2-3 Jesus says to the church in Ephesus:
“I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. But I have this against you, that you have left your first love.“
Many of our disorders come from a disordered life. During this series we want to reorder our priorities, and recommit, refocus and rediscover the One who has first loved us.
